Wine

Our rich wine list offers you a large selection of German, French and Italian, wines of renowned winemakers. Whether our wines by Eric Manz, who runs the existing since 1725 family business, and rose in the first league of Rheinhessen wineries, are very independent wines, characterized by the different soils such as limestone, loess, Tonmergel and Rotliegendem. From the vineyard Manz we have Riesling, Pinot Gris and Scheurebe on offer. Also our Brunello the Motalcino from the winery Caprili is an international top wine, awarded with 3 of 3 glasses in Gam¬bero Rosso. Due to the healthy climatic conditions, the vines are treated, if at all, only with copper and sulfur. The yeasts for fermentation come from their own vineyards. This gives the wines their very own territorial identity. The Blauer Spätburgunder trocken 2014 by Knipser, with its spicy and smoky character with aromas of coffee, tobacco, chocolate and juniper berry. The brothers Volker and Werner Knipser, who run the business today and are constantly expanding, were one of the first companies in Germany to develop wines in oak barrels. Our Blauer Spät¬bur¬gunder von Knipser was composed of grapes from various vineyards around Laumersheim, by selective hand-picking, classic mash fermentation and. 12 months of aging in used barriques brought to perfection. He has been awarded several times as the best German red wine, among the 100 most successful wines of the year, by the journal „Die Weinwirtschaft“. Our Caringole Rosé with a pale pink color and dark purple tints is a Cuvée from Syrah and Grenache of the winery La Coix Belle in Languedoc. It is intense on the nose with aromas of fresh roses and fine sweets, on Gau¬men there is a game of fine acids, very refreshing and slightly sweet on the finish. The winery La Croix Belle, which today is operated by Françoise and Jacques Boyer, enjoys an exceptional microclimate. The vines benefit during the day from a wonderful sun, and are cooled by the sea breezes and the cool night wind of the Cevennes. From the Argiolas vineyard in Sardinia we have our Vermentino di Sardegna, whose characteristic with fine notes of tropical fruits in the nose, fine nut flavors and figs on the palate also suits to sharper dishes, as the wine even with spicy dishes with its varied Flavors exists.
Our organic wine from Binet-Jacquet is from Faugeres in the region Languedoc, in the south of France. The 9 hectares of vineyards are located in the hill zone, which extends between the plain along the Mediterranean and the southern foothills of the Cevennes. The German-Swiss Olivier Binet and the Frenchman Pierre Jacquet started to build their own domain there in 1999. The region’s classic grape varieties stand on barren, stony slate soils, adding complexity and minerality to the wines. Our Barbera d’Asti DOCG Superiore Carlotta, from Arbiola, at the heart of the Barbera d’Asti zone, has a spicy bouquet and hints of sweet fruit, full-bodied and strong, ripe tannins. With its mature tanin, the wine blended perfectly with our tamarind sauce dishes.
